I have just now chanced upon yet another Moroccan travel blog written by a guest who stayed at Riad Felloussia while in Meknes.

His comments about Riad Felloussia and Meknes are globally positive but he also provides useful insight into elements we yet need to work on.
He stayed in Suite Afrika and has posted several photos of the suite and the riad.

Try Bastilla in Meknes

While staying with us at Riad Felloussia, make sure you order one of our Bastillas. You'll have to tell Zohra and Nadia in advance as the preparation is quite long.

It is a sort of pie that offers sweet and salty flavours wrapped in a thin crispy crepe. The savory meat inside is slow-cooked in broth and spices before being shredded and then mixed with a crunchy layer of toasted and ground almonds, cinnamon, and sugar.

The traditional Moroccan recipe was made with young pigeons and some places in Meknes still claim to use them. In our riad we have opted for chicken as a replacement ;)

What a great idea to create a blog about your holidays in Morocco. Here is the link to a blog created by guests who stayed in our riad while in Meknes in October.

It is really interesting to read about people's impressions of Morocco, to see how things are perceived and also how people are treated as tourists. I think reading about other people's experiences can help to prepare your trip not only on a practical level but also on a psychological level.

Riad Felloussia in German

Another happy surprise. Oasen-der-sinne.com has just written the first review for our riad in German :

Inmitten der Medina von Meknes liegt das bezaubernde Riad Felloussia. Von der Terrasse haben Sie einen beeindruckenden Blick auf den Platz El Hedim und das Bab Mansour, das wohl berühmteste Stadttor Marokkos. Das kleine traditionelle Riad Felloussia hat nur 5 Räume und kann Ihnen so absolute Ruhe und einen exzellenten Service bieten. Sie werden hier die herzliche Gastfreundschaft Marokkos erleben.

Die Suiten sind im marokkanischen Stil eingerichtet. Sie werden antike Holzarbeiten und feine regionale Metallarbeiten in den Zimmern finden. Das Badezimmer der Suite Ouzoud ist im ehemaligen Hammam des Riads untergebracht. Afrikanische Schätze, die das Riad Felloussia über Jahre gesammelt hat, erwarten Sie in der Suite Afrika. In der Lounge der Suite Toubkal können Sie dinieren. Es ist auch möglich, dass hier zwei zusätzliche Schlafplätze eingerichtet werden, wenn sie beispielsweise mit Kindern kommen möchten.
